I think GGG is a bit drained at 160. His stamina will be better at 168 imo. But, he will become even slower than his current snail level speed. Also, Canelo has more painful punches at 168. GGG's face will be worse than second fight. Speed is more effective than stamina against Canelo.

What do you think? Will he lose in a close fight or total destruction?

I agree with about the weight helping G. It’ll help imo. I’m afraid if this were 5-6 years ago G would put him off and out after losing to Bivol. But it’s not, Nelo might hurt G in this fight. Jonathan Banks better hold the towel tight, all night long! He hurts G this time, or G hurts himself. Anyhow hopefully it’s a decent scrap, timing just bites.

I think GGG would have been better off fighting at 168lbs earlier than Canelo. He'll benefit from cutting less weight but Canelo will probably be bigger and stronger at the weight at this point.

I think this will definitely help GGG. Reality is, since Canelo/GGG 1 and 2, Canelo has gotten slower and less stamina. He went from being a combination puncher to largely a 1 to a 1 to 2 punch puncher. He relies more on his power than now than his boxing ability. We saw this firsthand against Kovalev and Bivol. He throws A LOT less at 168 and 175 than he did at 160 and below. This plays well for GGG who is still a VERY active puncher and can actually close out a fight.

So net/net, I still think this is a 50/50 fight. GGG is older, but higher weight helps him. Canelo is slower/more bloated, but he is in his prime.

Golovkin is most likely going to be slightly boasted by moving up in weight.

Where as Alvarez with all of his yo yoing up and down in weight? Could actually see his conditioning go backwards.
