Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor-Jose Zepeda WBC Purse Bid Met With Second Delay, Pushed Back Two Weeks

Josh Taylor and Jose Zepeda continue to wait for their ordered title fight to make its way to a purse bid hearing. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the WBC has granted another extension to the already delayed junior welterweight mandatory title fight. The purse bid was originally due to take place May 24, which was pushed back by another 17 days. The June 10 date came and went without a hearing, as the session is now pushed back two more weeks to June 24.

I got to agree with you there. Jack certainly deserved the immidiate rematch. However it is what it is & the rules of unification rotate & it was the WBC's turn, which makes the WBA yet again lowlife for stripping Josh & fragmenting the title's. Josh really needs to get his head together, as he seems to be in a really bad place right now. If he can make 140Lb then that's where he should remain, having said that it looks like he's shot his bolt & has no future @ 147.

the curious case of josh taylor, he might write a book entitled, how to go from hero to zero in one fight (after having won it)

Hey Alts-suck, I can tell you need a good laugh, have you read this gem by WBN?

JOSH TAYLOR CLAIMS HE WANTED TO FIGHT ALBERTO PUELLO FOR $120K, BUT COULDN’T

“I have been proud to be WBA champion since I defeated Regis Prograis in 2019. Unfortunately, due to my wedding and honeymoon this summer, I am unable to fulfill my obligation to defend against Alberto Puello in a timely manner.''

Josh Taylor versus Jose Zepeda, would be a fantastic fight, I can't wait to see it happen, because they are both exceptional fighters.
Josh Taylor is acting like he's already accomplished all of his goals in boxing, when in reality he should be building, and cementing his legacy.
