The undisputed doesn’t mean that much to me as he only beat Abdullaev and Kambosos to win those belts however the fact he bet on himself, went on a rival network and fought/won in the away corner deserves respect. I’d like to see him fight Loma next.

Haney is still green but he did just soundly beat a guy that beat a guy that beat Loma. I know that's not the same as beating those fighters but it does mean something. Kamobosos wasn't even in the fight for more than a few seconds at a time. I only gave him 4 rounds. (that is the result I expected, though)

Can’t be mad at Haney for doing what he could in that position. I thought only Loma would go to another man’s backyard and take that challenge. He took an opportunity that most LWs wouldn’t have taken to get those belts. That’s a fact.

The run to get the belts as far as opposition level is subpar. It’s what he does now that will define this current moment in time and how the fans think about him.

If I was his advisor, I’d tell him do the Kam rematch and then move up. The man’s body is waiting to fill in. No need to waste time with trying to get all these other fights and dealing with the promotional company dramas.

Go make some noise at 140 for a couple of years.
