Comments Thread For: Munguia On Move To Big Bear: For Fight At This Weight, We Relocated To Get Better Sparring

A fight at a new weight required a few changes for Jaime Munguia. The decision to briefly campaign at super middleweight--perhaps for just one night--prompted the unbeaten Tijuana native and his team to find a location more suitable to his preparation needs. The former WBO junior middleweight titlist normally trains at the famed Otomi Ceremonial Center in the mountains of Temoya, Mexico, roughly 10,000 feet above sea level.

Dudes opposition has become a joke. Better sparring partners? For Jimmy Kelly? Guy could've proved his mettle against Mall buy guess GB didn't believe in him enough to let him prove it. Looks like they're protecting him for an eventual showdown with Canelo.

Golden Boy is being smart with this guy. He’s good
but he’s not world title level, and probably doesn’t have the potential to get there. Was exposed by Dennis Hogan.

Canelo will never do business with de la hoya again.

If Oscar is willing to serve up Munguia as cannon fodder for a huge ppv, oh he’ll do business.

I think it's GGG that GBP is saving Munguia for.

Snake country, I run with a stick. Rattlers, gopher, garden snakes. Grean, brown, and blue. 20 degrees cooler than the desert below makes up for the altitude..

That mightve been true before Canelo signed that deal with DAZN but like most, they more than likely realize GGG gets beat fairly easily by Canelo now at his age sending him into retirement

If Canelo struggles with GGG, then GBP will want to make Munguia/GGG in order to one-up Canelo. GGG still has his MW belts, so Munguia would become unified champion in one fight.

If GGG retires, then his belts become vacant and GBP will try to get Munguia in line for one of them.
