Comments Thread For: Inoue-Donaire Rematch: Michael Griffin Tabbed As Referee In Saitama

Michael Griffin is entrusted with maintaining order in yet another high-profile assignment. The veteran ring official has been tabbed as the referee for the WBA/WBC/IBF bantamweight title unification rematch between Yokohama's Naoya Inoue and Las-Vegas based Fil-Am star Nonito Donaire. The fight takes place Tuesday evening local time at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, the same site that held their epic first fight which saw Inoue prevail via unanimous decision in November 2019.

Yeah, what the hell I just read the article and the very first word corrects his name.

It's the Canadian ref most famous for officiating at MSG when Joshua quit vs Ruiz for those who don't recognize his name... like me.

Yeah, no, I know him very well otherwise. He is a real good ref. Seen him in plenty of Cotto fights and a lot of other ones. He's a solid ref. I just thought the article was funny how the headline is wrong and in the very first word of the article, it mentions the correct name. Does anyone proof read anything before it's posted here? lol.

Michael Griffin is one of the best refs around

                  Very fair and no bias

Plus he’s Canadian made from Montreal
