Your comparison is void though. GGG is 39 and is finally stepping up in weight to fight a guy that started out at 147 which he has already fought twice and Donaire is without a doubt one of the best little guys to ever do it. Donaire would be more comparable to Canelo than GGG

GGG gets shockingly little respect on this site as well. I won't be surprised at all when he pushes Canelo to the limit again and very possibly beats him in September. GGG is special, even at 40.

People aren’t just criticizing ggg as option because of age, it’s because of his inactivity, how he’s looked in performances recently, him fighting in a weight class he’s not in, canelo dragging out this rematch and canelo having a much better option at 168.
