Let face it, there was confusion of the weight to begin with.

None of us knew for sure what the weight would be, and it is clear now that Floyd felt unable to make weight so they changed the contract, something JMM's camp agreed on.

I think it might have been due to the lay off, I know he stays in shape... but still, 2 years out ir can be difficult... just a thought.

Anyway, just to clear something up... we all know Floyd aint the kinda guy to pile on the pounds over night, I don't think there would be a huge difference in the fight night weight at 146 than there would be at 144, I just wanna see a good fight, I hope Floyd wins cause then it might set up a fight with Cotto or Pacquiao.

There has seemed to be some weird **** going on lately though... hope it aint affecting Floyd, anyway just one more thing... PLEASE don't bring hate into this thread, I can't be arsed with this "hes a *****" blah blah blah... say your disgusted fair enough but don' turn it into a hate thread, I am making this thread to stay on topic, anyway what do you guys think?

I know it aint the point, but...

Do you think he might have changed the contract cause of the weight issue cause of the lay off, or do you think his training might have not gone great?

Do you think all the **** that has been spiraling over the past couple of weeks may be a bad thing for Floyd and give him unwanted distractions?

Do you think that whether he was at 144 or 147 his fight night weight would be that different (I know it aint the point, but its just a question)?

After all of this stuff, have you made a slight change in your predictions?

Lets keep this on topic guys, don't want to turn this in another hate thread... if I wanted that I would just talk crap in the other threads...

The excuse is already in place...Marquez is too small for Floyd...

I don't see the big deal...even if Floyd won at 144 he wouldn't have received much credit for this fight...

Marquez is just a stepping stone for Pac/Cotto/Mosley/Clottey...

If you recall when the fight was announced - there was alot of confusion about the weight. Ellerby was constantly stating that it was a WW fight on one side and on the other, GBP stating that it was a 144lb limit.

        I don't see a problem with Floyd being 146 & JMM being 142 ... because it is within the WW limits, so it is a legitimate fight. {For those who know the rules}

Spacey, you're a cool, calm and collected young cat,

but let the mans balls go.

Floyd planned this from the very beginning.

I think Floyd just has too much muscle now to get down in weight, I personally don't think the layoff really had any effect there. Most guys are cutting fat to get down to their weight, but what do you do when you're already thin at 150? The weight Floyd has gained since his days at 130 is pure muscle; he used to be a pretty scrawny guy and now he's completely ripped. How do you lose 2 pounds of muscle and not pay a price? I think he decided to pay the monetary price rather than the physical price. Am I thrilled? Not really, but I understand it.

and if you're not telling the other fighter about it,

                    well,

                    thats fraud.

Point blank, Floyd is a ***** all the way around and for you guys to even defend this bull**** and claim to be boxing fans is an outright disgrace.
