Kambosos is the Andy Ruiz of 135.

A B/C level guy who got lucky in the garden.

Blame Teofimo for not taking that fight serious and thinking he could knock Kambosos out in one round.

Kambosos barely just recently got past a old Mickey Bey. This fight was only going to go one way lol.

Yeah I always felt this was great style matchup for Haney. He won that fight in second gear tbh.

Yeah, Kambosos is durable and tough and can punch a bit, but he's clearly limited. Teofimo definitely overlooked him and Kambosos came in motivated and prepared and was a bad matchup for Teofimo cuz he could stand in the pocket and take his power. But I knew all along Haney and Loma would be terrible matchups for Kambosos. We will get a rematch unfortunately and it will go much like the first. Hope we get Haney/Loma next year

Teo seems to adjust poorly. The Kambosos fight and Nakatani performance makes me wonder if he simply gets befuddled by someone not willing to be run over by him.

You'd think a guy reaching the top through hard work more than natural talent would get more respect from sports fans not less.

I said really early on that Lopez had some of the heaviest feet I had ever seen. He looks stuck in mud some time, so if you can take the shots/make him miss and counter him, he's easy to land clean on. Loma actually moved TOO much and was too hesitant of his power to take advantage of this. I could see Haney possibly struggling in the same way with Lopez, but he has the length and speed advantage in that matchup. Think Prograis is a nightmare matchup at 140 for Lopez, but could see him having more success against a brawler like Ramirez. Pedraza, Barboza and Zepeda are the fights at 140 that really interest me for Lopez

Good analysis. I honestly don't think Teo just dropped the ball that night. Not totally. He's got a whoooole lot of good things going on for him but yeah, those feet are bad and I agree with everything you just said. Hopefully after the Campa fight he's in with some good opposition. If his power doesn't carry up he's in trouble.

That’s a good point. He seems to struggle when he faces adversity. I do think he looked weight drained vs GK though.

99% of fighters work hard. Some get lucky breaks, some don’t.
