I've seen more of Haney than Kambo so I watched a few rounds of each of their last 3 fights. I also looked at boxrec physical stats and they have Kambo taller than Haney which is obviously not true when you see them at the weigh-in faceoff. Haney does have some reach on him, about 3" or 1.5" per arm.
Early Rounds
Kambo seems to start out cautious, but doesn't give up rounds. If he see's the opportunity, he goes for the counter or puts himself into the fight. From what I see, he plays off his opponents tempo. Haney is a bit tentative and likes to throw single jabs or catch your work and jab or potshot off of that so it will be a little bit of chess in the beginning. I think Kambo can set the pace of this fight early with catching him just like he did Teo. Kambo has no problem getting into a firefight early and that's bad news for Huggy Haney.
Haney's Speed
For some reason I thought Haney had more handspeed and after reviewing his last 3, his speed is a lot less than I remember. He is fast, but I think he needs to be in a position of confidence to throw the heat. Will he fire full speed against Kambo early, hard to say but based on his past outings ---> no.
Power
Haney does chop his left hook a bit and turns it over textbook ---> a little too textbook and textbook doesn't always equal power. He's most powerful when he catches you in the middle of your thing, who isn't but he's pretty good at getting himself into that position. Kambo doesn't have a lot of heavy hand power, but he catches you with timing and speed and can remove some confidence.
Beards
Haney has been brought along slow for a reason ---> imo he's got a bad beard. Jojo hit him with some good shots that Kambo can easily pull off and Linares really rang his bell. He wasn't able to recover well either and went into super huggy mode like I've never seen before. If Kambo hurts him like Linares did, I think Kambo can finish the business. Worth mentioning, Linares hurt him with one shot.

Kambo, I've seen him go down and get right back up. Note that he was taking a lot of shots before he went down, there was an accumulation, not a single shot or etc. Kambo did take some punishment, but he did make some big mistales against Teo in trying to hurt Teo in return instead of maybe clinching to buy a little time. If Haney gets him in the same position, I worry Haney can put some big combo's on him and get another knockdown or maybe a bad stoppage. Teo was just bombing on Kambo which didn't work out. Once he got through the round, he did well, unlike Haney against Linares.
My Official Pick('s)
I can't give you one single pick because these guys are pretty fresh and there are a lot intanglibles in place. I would not wager on this position. I like sure-things and I do believe in my method to handicap sure things, bet big, and win big ---> this isn't one of them.
If a client hired me for a consultation I would take their money and advise them that --->
1. I think Kambo has a high probability of stopping Haney. Haney gets hit and if Kambo gets him hurt which I don't think is that hard to do ---> I do think Kambo can put him away They've matched Haney with sugical care for 27 fights for a reason and that reason to me is because he has a bad beard. I rarely agree with Atlas, but Atlas did make a good point about Haney's speed being nulled by Kambo's timing.
2. On the other hand, if Haney has a close fight and reaches the 12th, I think the judges give it to Haney. Top Rank being involved with Haney creates a lot of thoughts for me. Top Rank fixes fights, that's number 1. Haney can't win and walk away to fight Loma or anything because of the rematch clause, and these types of scenarios bring a lot of money with a rematch. Arum is patient and is always a few steps ahead. Haney gets the win tonight and wins the rematch, Arum is sitting pretty with a mega fight with Loma for all the marbles.
