TLDR, the entire thing is a joke and highly biased and unethical.

This is why we end up with all the ****** diamond belts, champion emeritus, super duper belts, super omega platinum belts ect. Its the ABC executives looking out for themselves making sure they always have a way to throw a high revenue generator into the mix for their belts to get their cut.
It’s worse than that. They’re not just taxing the champions/big dogs. They’re taxing the little guys too. All theses title eliminators and interm title fights, anything that’s sanctioned by the alphabet belt organizations is getting there cut for sure.

On 10/23/2020 Floyd spoke out against the sanctioning bodies and fees. Specifically how their value has been watered down.
Are you asking that question because you didn’t know or because you’re assuming Floyd never did?

You mean like calling out GGG but GGG was being protected and then beating the best LHW at the time not once but twice on top a Super 6.

Mayweather: There's Too Many Belts; WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, My Company Must Clean This Sh-t Up

“I wanna say this right now about the sport of boxing, and I want everybody at home to hear me when I say this — a belt, I’m tired and [when] I’m at home – and this goes for any company. I don’t care if it’s Top Rank, if it’s Golden Boy [Promotions], if it’s Mayweather Promotions, if it’s PBC — there’s too many champions in the sport of boxing right now,” said Mayweather Jr. “Too many champions. It’s not a such thing as a super champion, not at all. And I’m not taking nothing away from no fighter. It’s too many belts.

“And the reason why it’s too [many belts], let me tell people what’s going on in the sport of boxing, why there’s so many different titles and so many different belts. People don’t know you have to pay, for every belt that you win, there’s a sanctioning fee. So now, if a fighter wins an interim belt, he has to pay a sanctioning fee. If a fighter has just the regular belt, he has to pay a sanctioning fee. Then, if a fighter is a super champion, then he has to pay a sanctioning fee. This is not good for the sport of boxing. Now, when a fighter fights, every fighter is a champion now. Belts now is like a fighter winning an amateur trophy. Everybody is a champion. Everybody have a belt.”

Why are they crying? All those fees would be tax deductible so it's not like they are losing as much as they say from their pay checks.

                I'm not a fan.

Your post makes no sense. Calling out GGG was silly since there was no chance of the fight happening. Kovalev wasn't the best light heavyweight and even if he was, it doesn't change the fact that Ward consistently misunderstood how to maximize his earnings.

That's Floyd complaining about the WBA having three versions of the world title so they can collect fees from three different fighters. That has nothing to do with whether it's worth it for one fighter to pay fees for multiple belts.
