  • Comments Thread For: Arum Believes Lomachenko Would Leave Ukraine to Compete for Lightweight Championship

Promoter Bob Arum thinks that Vasiliy Lomachenko will return to the boxing ring if the stakes are high enough. The ballyhooed, three-division titlist from Ukraine recently put his boxing career on hold in order to help defend his country from the ongoing Russian invasion. Lomachenko pulled out of a proposed fight with three-belt lightweight champion George Kambosos to join his country's military.

If Loma was gonna leave to fight for a title he would be across the ring from Kambosos and not Haney. Loma has proved his worth as a champion and is fighting for something bigger than belts.

How can you be the "Gold Standard" of the Lightweights, when you lost to a 23-year old in only his 16th fight, at 135?

He's not at all, he's a good fighter who has been overhyped to mythical proportions.

I say this as a white person but a Black or Latino fighter with his pro achievements wouldn't be anywhere near as lauded as he is.

A true all time great would never have lost like that to a decent but heavily flawed kid like Lopez.

He is the best of them all at 135.
Why didn't Feofimo give him a rematch?
Because he would not fight a wealthy Loma.

He just isn't black enough for some people here.

Lomachenko has 2 daddy's, Teo and Salido, he can't be the best of anything.

Which never gave a rematch because it was candid of Loma not to press.
Salido preferred to do UBER instead of the rematch! You won't even find that on a Coen brother's flick, LOL!
You know it, I know it.

And he is not black enough....

Of course Lomachenko's willing to leave ukraine for a title shot.
Probably begging to come back after the spanking Russia's gave them.
