Comments Thread For: Arum: Kambosos, Haney On 'A Level Playing Field As Far As Officials Are Concerned'

Jeff Horn upset the legendary Manny Pacquiao the last time Bob Arum brought a favored fighter to Australia for a promotion fit for a stadium. Horn's win caused controversy because Pacquiao nearly knocked him out during the ninth round and appeared to do enough to out-point a then-unbeaten Horn in his hometown of Brisbane. Horn roughed up the Philippines' Pacquiao during that 12-round fight for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title in July 2017 at Suncorp Stadium and won a unanimous decision.

Out of curiosity, are there actually many robberies happening in Australia or is everyone basing the judges being crooked over there just because Pac lost on the cards in a fight where most thought he won but was far from a blowout? Actual honest question. I can’t think of many big fights in oz recently.

It has nothing to do with the country bro, it's the promotion. Manny's contract was up in the Horn fight, Arum did this with the Bradley loss too, and again ---> Manny's contract was up in that one too.

Arum has the judges for Kambo in his pocket, this is a power-play right here with misinformation. If it's close, Haney will get the win ---> bet on it.

Ive seen loads of robberies in Aus over the years but they were smaller cards where they bring an overseas guy across the pond to pump up a prospect, they don't bring them here to win.

This fight should be fine with non-aus officials and the eyes of the world are on it so hopefully it's given to the rightful winner.

Haney is the A-side and Arum wants him to win.

The plan is clearly Haney vs. Loma and/or Teo @ 140. So if anything, the judges will favour the foreigner.
