I do think fighters have to take risks to become great. This is a huge opportunity for Buatsi if Bivol accepts Hearns offer. He should take it.
I respectfully disagree on a few different points:

I don’t think Eddie Hearn is doing his job, at least not in a way that best supports Buatsi, and I think publicly contradicting his fighter’s world respected trainer is actually very unprofessional (not sure if I’ve even seen it before).

I don’t see why the title opportunity won’t still be there in 2-3 fights. Buatsi fighting Bivol now is what’s best for Hearn, not Buatsi.

I think Buatsi would be a betting favourite over Joe Smith Jr (impossible fight to make).

Nobody cares what you think Hearn after you matched up Bivol with Canelo thinking it was an easy win for Canelo befor hand

Level in between Richards and world title?

          Yarde? Calum Johnson?

Good fights domestically which will create a buzz.

What is going on with Eddie

Easy fight to make, but Zurdo is more deserving of a shot at Bivol.

IDK, I think both Hunter and Hearn are doing their jobs. One would think that their jobs have the same objectives and priorities, but not necessarily. It's Hunter's job to keep Josh winning, but it's Hearn's first priority to make him money. Buatsi has time enough left in his career to get other opportunities, and maybe he will, but he's raw enough that he could just as well lose in a much lower profile domestic fight and screw up his career. Matchroom has steered him close to a big opportunity, so Hearn would be hugely remiss if he didn't do everything in his power to get him a showcase fight when its there to make. Btw, I think Joe Smith is underrated. Bivol schooled him bad, but styles make fights. Smith may well beat Beterbiev and I would bet money that he KOs Buatsi if they ever fight.

This would be yet another example of Hearn not understanding the US market.

In America we'd rather see Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez. And that fight does way more to keep Bivol's name recognition growing than a fight with Buatsi would.

If he wants another test, why not just rematch Craig Richardson? Its still a big fight and the best way to gauge if Buatsi has actually improved
