I was just thinking this could seriously happen. Main reason is that Wlad will be tied up with chambers spring 10 and I see Vital/Arreola winner facing Povetkin around the same time. Also I think Haye may have burned a few bridges and hurt his chances at fighting any klitschko anytime soon.
Bernard will be 45 soon and I only see 2 fights, at the most, left in him. At this point it's all about history and being in a big fight. At 168...all the big names are tied up with the SMW tourney. I know people will say a Dawson or Ademek fight will happen, but Dawson isn't a draw and adds nothing to b-hop's legacy. Secondly the cruiserweight belt has no prestige behind it and Ademek keeps pricing himself out.
With that said...Golden Boy really needs to make a push for a Haye vs Hopkins showdown. There is so much to gain for b-hop if he wins.
1. kills any future hate of him only beating great smaller fighters
2. HW is the most prestigeous belt in the history of the sport.
3. Haye has a good fan base in the UK and has a fan friendly style
4. This is only HW b-hop has a legit chance of beating (size wise). It's now or never...and it's the only fight that will add to his legacy at this point
So what do you guys think? Can you see a fight like this happening? Just thought I make a thread to break away from the same **** posted over and over again on here.lol
