He’s a coward and should retire

Why is kong Ortiz avoiding the big boys at hw? He’s supposedly ranked number 2 in the world and apart from being bodybagged by wilder he has actively ducked anyone with a pulse.

AJ for one and didn't he duck Joe Joyce not long ago? him or parker i know he was supposed to have another big fight. It's too late for Ortiz anyway the man is 43 so i don't care if he fights the big dogs or not he won't beat any imo.

Ortiz would show Usyk Cuban style, slick skills, brutal ko power, he takes him out with a left, beats his chest and his daughters cheer from the crowd while Ukraine mourns.

They were the days. Basically, the standings of the HW division were decided entirely upon all of the ranked fighters’ sporting relationship with Wilder. E.g. Ortiz lost valiantly to Wilder, so he must be no.2.

I would argue that the popular view of the HW division on this site is still determined by the same method. Fury is near unanimously considered no.1, but mainly because he beat Wilder, who is still considered no.2 by a substantial amount of people.

I think the issue has always been that ortiz is on the juice so he needs the timescales to work around his ability to cycle on and off. That is my honest opinion

I don't believe he ducked AJ (7 mil) or Whyte in the O2 (2 mil plus upside). Haymon always had him in place to build Wider's profile by getting KO'ed (sad but true). Haymon blocked both of those fights. Haymon also blocked Kownacki. Perfect fighter for a Wilder highlight reel KO. That was the plan for Fury and his lineal title but we know how that worked out.
