Eimantas Stanionis never doubted that he could beat Radzhab Butaev. What the unbeaten Lithuanian boxer was never able to fully visualize was the feeling that would come with the best win of his young career--and the impact it would have on his fans back home.

This should be breaking news. No need to speculate on Jaron Ennis' next fight. Just wondering why this Stanionis guy is not being protected. He's being thrown into the lions den way too early as sacrificial lamb. His handlers should at least demand retirement check for the Ennis fight.

Otherwise, this kumbaya moment would end abruptly.

look forward to it, boxing is a international sport so I love seeing all styles from all over I LOVE Stanionis style, already has one of the best Jabs in Boxing also have to acknowledge his trainer Marvin Somodio who is doing a great job with him and who is a very underrated Trainer that doesn't get mentioned much

Stanionis is a fun fighter to watch all action with thudding shots and can take a beating. That said he is a welterweight version of Kownacki and is doomed to be brutally knocked out

How is this a solid fight against a heavily-hyped Ennis? GTFOH. You think Ennis fights anything similar to Butaev?

Stanionis barely eked out a victory over that Russian guy. It was a hard-fought split decision win and couldn't even believe he won that fight. Guy has no footwork, he stands in front of you face-first, ready to hit, but virtually defenseless. How is this a competitive fight for Ennis? What kind of fans are these?

Who wants to bet their accounts that the fight would end just as I have described it?

Stanionis is miles MORE talented than Kownacki. Miles. Nobody knocks him out brutally. He is solid and fights behind a very very strong jab. He gives any of the current crop of young guns in the WW divison a run for their money and would not be surprised if he beats them.

I'm not saying he cant win but he gets hit ALOT and the current crop of young guns are powerful and athletic it could end bad for him. Just my 2 cents on it.
