that "nobody" was a linear undisputed champion..something cotto, margarito or the "real welterweights" you mean haven't acheived.

Floyd doesn't enter the ring and duck Tito Trinidad. He finally fights Mahenge Zulu coz he was the best african WW and because Trinidad lives in Puerto Rico !

Clottey isn't active enough to beat Pacquiao, Pacquiao would beat Berto. As for Margarito, probably isn't the same. Pacquiao would establish himself as an elite WW, if he can beat Cotto. No way around it, you can't avoid the inevitable, Mayweather possibly facing an elite WW in Pacquiao.

so pacquiao beats DLH and hatton earlier and easier than floyd, then he beats cotto, who everyone thinks is a top welterweight, yet he has no business at 147? sometimes i dont get some of the posters here, if you want to hate on floyd and discredit him do it in a sly way like mangler does atleast no one will find out. all i see is excuses.

That was a hard fight for both, trinidad with his great stamina and power in both hands would really test Floyds great shoulder roll defence. I think floyd can win an UD but Trinindad is a strong fella at 147 he if he lands it would hurts. It would be a great match for sure. Otherwise I don't know Floyd would take that challenge he not really fought anybody at the WW top guys.

Oscar was big & strong at welterweight for that fight with 1 of the best jabs at that weight!!Mayweather doesn't fire the jab often & his punch output wouldn't bother Tito,plus welterweight Tito was a beast,at welterweight vs a prime Tito,with floyd barely throwing he gets crowded & stopped within 8!!
