Interestingly enough, both Stanionis and Kavaliauskas are Lithuanians, according to Wiki, if I'm not mistaken.
Another similarity would be winning over the top contending hard hitting Russians at the same weight division. Is there any news about Mean Machine fighting soon?

I have zero clue. I just don't understand why he's not linked with any
of these major promoters as good and entertaining as he is.

He had the end of the stick at Top rank similarly to Rashidi Ellis with GBP. Which is depressing considering most of the welterweights are either getting too old or moving up.
