There are almost technical no jobs available so skilled workers move out, which in turn makes the few businesses that were there have to move out or close down all together.

There's almost no investment in these neighborhoods. That's why a lot of them are so depressed. But America gets so surprised that a person, like Floyd Mayweather Jr, would come from one of these neighborhoods and be angry. It's ******ed. You think just because ***** is President that all of this changed and all Black people will forget the neighborhoods that they came up in?

Keep in mind, I'm not saying things aren't improving, but I am saying that it's easy to come from middle class neighborhoods where opportunities are readily available and then wag your finger at the way someone who comes from socio-economic disenfranchisement acts. It's easy to criticize something you haven't experienced.

Or do you think all poor Black people in America deserve those circumstances?
So what if Floyd or the entire Mayweather famly came from THE ****tiest neighborhood in the country???? His story is no different from any boxing success story. Bottom line is respect is EARNED. Not given. His "gimme gimme" attitude does him no favors.

If you really think Floyd really had it that bad and has every right to complain because he really hasnt been given a fair share of the stick....then what about these other fighters:

Erik Morales: Came from the worst neighborhood imaginable in the tijuana area. An area where people are openly shot in the streets. Not in drivebys like in the US. Plain and simply out in the open during mid-day because the police have no power to stop them.

Manny Pacquiao: Was homeless for 4 years and ate as little as 1 dinnerroll for days at a time

Joseph Agbeko: Comes from a place where he couldnt even afford shoes, much less gloves and headgear.

And that's a couple of examples from today. Floyd really needs to learn to shut the hell up because his supposed oppression is all in his head. He has never had it any worse than any other fighter to rise up and become world champion. You dont see any other world class fighter throwin ***** fits like he does.

Boxing is ethnic, enjoy the sport. All this race stuff is getting ridiculous. There is no different between races but skin color and culture. What you can say about one race can apply to another, it's all about how you grew up. The media and old people ****ed this world up.

I come from a black neighbourhood and there were three white students at my 400students high school. Of course it was in the hood and everyone was poor. All my friends in HS were black as were my girlfriends.

And Floyd Mayweather is still a ****.

Who were the biggest athletes of the 90s? Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson. Why? Not because of their "stats", but because they were amazing to watch. People sat and watched in awe at things they had never seen before in their sport.

If Floyd was white he'd be in the same place he is now or worse off. He's boring to watch. Thats why mainstream america doesnt give a **** about him. Boring.

There are poor people of every race that does not mean you have to act the fool when you get in the limelight,i am white and grew up in a horrible neighborhood if anyone here is from vegas i stayed on dumont and sierra vista, back to my point,i grew up with the same bs you did and i pulled myself out of it and made mine and my familys lifes better,i always am respectful to people and have pretty good manners blaming the way you grew up for how you act is ******.

Race definitely plays a part in public opinion. Especially when it comes to boxers. Americans dont support athletes like other countries. Especially when you are young black and sure of yourself. People are still on the that jim crow **** "look down and say yas sah boss". Dont act like it dont exist and dont act like we shouldnt talk about it. It makes for good conversation but some of yall scared that Redneck might come out.
