Used to be, not any longer. Nowadays, a guy can jump from amateur to professional and fight for a belt. He might have paid his due in the amateurs, but not as a professional. Do you think Rolly Romero has paid his due? Just an example. Do you think charlo or plant are going to give benavidez more problem than Morell jr? Imo, Morell jr vs benavidez is a better fight, and there's not much advantage for either one, a least on paper. Lemiux is damaged goods and out of his weight, you could see it on his waist line, he was flabby., plant will only fight for money or a cab driver, charlo is wasting his better years fighting no good competition. So again, who is the one that can give benavidez some fist, not named canelo, he ain't fighting ginger?

Plant is a slick fighter I really like but to be honest he will get stopped worst and quicker than what Canelo did and Charlo hasn’t even had a tuneup at 168 so he will think 50 times before fighting Benavidez. As for anyone facing Dirrell it’s just a promise Al must have made for one last payday because he can’t beat none of the four Benavidez, Morrell, Plant or Charlo; period!

Plant will probably get stopped by Dirrell too. He's not going to remain ranked near the top as he continues to get in the ring with good veteran boxers that have power. Plant doesn't have the power to keep his opponent's power at bay.

I like Plant's style against Benavidez. He can get decision but Benavidez KOs him 7/10.

rollie hasn't paid dues and this fight has been called a cherry pick because of it.

Benavidez vs charlo is a ppv fight. Morrell isn't. if benavidez beats morrell. People will say he only had 6 fights and was to green. Remember boxingscene had canelo green after 40 fights. Now a guy with 6 fights jumps the whole 168.

Morrell shouldn't be fighting benavidez before plant or charlo. But as I said in my original post. It's the fight we're getting next
