Does anyone think GGG is actually going to perform BETTER than he did the last two times? Plus he's going up to 168 for the first time. I think Canelo is going to beat the **** out of him and the sad thing is it's all people are going to remember him for. And GGG is not going to go down from one or two big punches. It's going to be brain damage time. Regardless of what the fans or the judges think of the first two fights Canelo never beat GGG convincingly (if at all) and if he has to fight him a third time at forty years old in order to do that and try to heal his bruised ego that's weak... I was hoping GGG would win the belt vs. Murata and sail off into the sunset. He has no chance of beating Canelo because if he couldn't knock him out the first two times he sure as hell isn't doing it now, especially at 168. And especially after the Bivol fight there's no way in hell Canelo is losing another decision no matter WHAT GGG does. They'll prefill all 12 rounds this time instead of just the first 4 if they have to.
There's just one caveat, they say that every great fighter has one last great fight in him.
Imagine if GGG was able to summon one more great performance from his 40 year old body.
It's taken 7 years for this trilogy of fights to take place, 2 years to marinate as his promoter at the time De La Hoya put it before the first fight 2015-2017, another year for the rematch 2017-2018, and 4 more years for their 3rd fight.
This fight didn't need 2 years to marinate for the first, nor the 4 additional years for the third, but you've got to handed it to them their plan worked.
They let age catch up with the older GGG, but it was an underhanded way to get an advantage, and I still saw GGG beat Canelo in those 2 fights.
The opportunity to avenge those two prior highly controversial fights against his archenemy just might be enough of an incentive.
Although I highly doubt it for the same reasons that you gave in your statement, GGG's age, and going up in weight.
That said I'm still rooting for GGG to finally knock the stuffing's out of that (arrogant/pompous/steroid cheat) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
GGG probably won't beat Canelo, but there's still Bivol, Benavidez, Morrell, Charlo, and Andrade, who can or have a 50/50 chance of doing so.

Always thought if they had fought a third time it would be another draw but with all the years gone, this one might be a little different
