Hard to see them doing it mid season because of the damage it would cause to the pitch. Modern grounds like Spurs’ stadium have a retractable pitch for that reason but I highly doubt an older ground like the City Ground would have that facility.

I think it’ll be an arena fight. Then if it sells well maybe a rematch in late spring 2024 in a stadium.

Pigford looked very poor indeed. I think Eggington winning was predictable but Pigford made him look much better than he is.

Watched Ball, Conlan and CBS-Okolie. Guy Ball was fighting looked class early on, really long sharp jab, but he dropped off and was easy enough for Ball in the end. Conlan wasn’t great, thought he stayed in there too much. Pretty brutal KO. Lopez is quite fun to watch, if he fights Robeisy next you’d have to think he’ll likely lose though. CBS-Okolie was a mess. I thought CBS landed about 0 good shots before the great knockdown in the fourth that changed the fight, after that Okolie had an absolute mare. I thought he was going to turn the tide when he had that good round (8th or 9th?), but he had no chance really with all the points off. Some of his holding was ridiculous but that was expected tbf.

Pigford froze under the lights I thought.

Didn’t like the talk of Ball fighting Lopez. He ain’t ready for that yet. Wouldn’t mind Ball vs Conlan tbf.

All for Lopez vs Ramirez. The fight to make IMO.

Okolie was a mess. I don’t think the move to Sugar Hill has benefited him whatsoever.

Honestly think azeez buatsi is a 5050 fight. Buatsi doesnt have the greatest gas tank and azeez is a pest to fight. Hes gonna try countering buatsis jab. Dont think bautsi has good counters. He rarely punches off the back foot.

Same here. Could definitely go either way, I’ve always felt Buatsi struggles when forced to fight at a high tempo, so slightly leaning towards Azeez.

Not been stripped yet but been in a legal battle with his promoter which could lead to him being stripped.
