Sadly Chisora-Kownacki is effectively dead in the water. Chisora’s return is now pencilled in for July 23rd. Have no idea on the opponent. Helenius rematch maybe?

I’ve heard Kownacki was offered 7 figures but over multiple fights and that was the stumbling block. Matchroom tend to structure their deals that way, that’s why Parker, Povetkin had to go and fight Whyte after AJ and Takam had to go fight Chisora after AJ. You essentially get paid over two fights.

I think the plan was to have Kownacki vs Chisora then Kownacki would have been used to fight a guy like Wardley or something.
