Grrr, not happy about the Joyce/Parker situation. Tete always seemed to make 122 pretty easily, so I'm surprised to see him move up. Massive fight for Cunningham though, incredible little late career run he's had here

I always had Cunningham down as a domestic level at best type fighter. He’s definitely a massive overachiever in my eyes. Went on the road a lot too, often had to win fights from the B side, I’d love to see him get a world title shot tbh.

David Higgins went into the situation recently, said the original deal for July was for a one off fight, then Warren wanted to add a rematch clause in. So Higgins countered and said he wanted the same security for Parker and wants Warren to sign him to a long term deal. Says they're talking but a long term deal takes longer to negotiate so the fight gets pushed back a couple of months

I’m optimistic they can reschedule it for September but my gut instinct is telling me this fight isn’t gonna happen. Hope I’m wrong…

Frank jumped the gun announcing it tbh, I spoke to Sam Jones on the Friday before Fury-Whyte and he told me everything had been agreed they were just waiting on contracts to be drafted/signed. Then Frank goes and announces it to the masses at Fury-Whyte and I’m guessing that gave Team Parker some added leverage.

Gonna keep this as a running thread and keep adding news as I hear/see it.

-Fury vs Hunter is now being mooted for July 2nd in Manchester.

-Felix Cash vs Kamil Szeremeta is being explored for July on 9th hopefully as part of the Chisora-Kownacki. Looks like they’re going for a UK vs Poland narrative.

-Matchroom also planning a card in Birmingham in August that will feature all three Yafai brothers.

Do you know any the Joyce/Parker fight is being delayed?

Its not like BT/Queensbury have a particularly busy schedule

Frank Warren has said it’s because Andy Lee’s wife is having a baby so he can’t commit to training Parker for July. Seems a convenient excuse to me. I think they jumped the gun announcing it and it complicated ongoing negotiations personally. Hopefully it gets rescheduled for September.

Szeremeta is a solid European level guy, good test for where Cash is at. Kal and Gamal are whatever at this point, but I'm watching Galal's career with a lot of interest. Would like to see him fight for the British title next and the European title in a few fights

Yeah Flyweight is pretty shallow domestically, Galal would easily beat Tommy Frank IMO. Definitely should be a fight they’re targeting in the near future.

I'm liking the rolling updates, really helpful, think I'll bookmark the thread. Johnny Fisher will be on the Birmingham undercard too.
