    Gatti-Judah june 11!!!! very possible!!!

Judah Says 'I'll Fight Gatti on June 11'

Undisputed world welterweight champion Zab Judah has offered to fill the breach and challenge WBC junior-welterweight champion Arturo Gatti.

On discovering that that undefeated pound for pound top 10 fighter Floyd Mayweather jr had failed to agree terms for a June 11 HBO Pay Per View date with Gatti Judah jumped at the opportunity of a potential 'Super fight' against one of the most exciting fighters in the world.

"Arturo Gatti is one of the most exciting fighters in the ring today, and I'd welcome the opportunity to fight him on June 11 at any weight," Judah said earlier today (March . I'm available anytime, anyplace and at any weight to fight the best fighters in the world."

Judah's promoter, Don King, echoed his fighter's sentiments and took it one step further: "Zab would love to fight Arturo Gatti, and if that can't get done he'd be willing to fight Floyd Mayweather, too," an emphatic King said. "I look forward to discussing this further with Arturo's promoter Main Events. I know Arturo is courageous, but is he courageous enough to step in the ring with Zab Judah.?

"Furthermore, is his promoter willing to pit the courageous Gatti against the invincible Judah? I'm willing to do it. Are you willing to give this to the public, Main Events?

Gatti, 39-6-(29), had planned to announce his fight with Mayweather (33-0-(22), as early as Jan. 29 at the post-fight press conference after Gatti stopped Jesse James Leija in Atlantic City. The fight was unable to be finalized and was scrapped on Friday.

Judah, 33-2-1 NC-(24), scored a ninth-round technical knockout over Cory Spinks in St. Louis on February 5 in front of the largest crowd to witness a boxing match at an indoor arena (22,370) and become the undisputed world welterweight champion.

    March 8, 2005.

I'd really like to see this. I think Zab takes care of business in round 9 or 10. I don't see Gatti getting past Zab's overwhelming speed and his southpaw stance. I'd expect Zab to make Gatti look like an amateur. I still think it would be a very lucrative fight and I'd pay to see it.

      notice the underlined parts.

Sounds like a bit of ducking from Gatti, IMO.

I think he was ducking Floyd. Not the other way around.

I dont see Gatti/Judah on June 11. I believe the Mayweather fight will go on. ********** has reported Mayweather and Top Rank have signed a contract and in response the WBC has re-ordered a purse bid for Friday at 4PM. The WBC's purse bid originally was called off, but is now back on. Top Rank is reported to bid up to 9 Million, which would give Gatti 5 million.

Junior Witter`s promoter has also apparently made a $2.5m bid for Gatti. Him or Judah would make for a better fight, FMJ would just run rings around Gatti, 12 UD.

I sure hope the Mayweather fight goes on. If not Judah can beat the hell of of Gatti.

Gatti will definatly not go to 147 to fight Zab when he could just fight Floyd at 140. Main Events is too scared to let Gatti fight any top guy who has a chance of beating him. Why else would they scrap the Mayweather fight as soon as Mayweather had come to terms. It's ******. The only reason why they had a deadline is to make it look like they wanted to but as soon as Floyd came to terms just a few hours after the deadline then they say no, it's too late.

Floyd also said that Arum better not even think about putting Cotto in with him because he would KO him inside of 5 rounds

at this point it'd be more interesting to see Cotto in with Gatti, after he takes care of unfinished business with Chop Chop

I think Judah is a much tougher fight for Gatti than Floyd. The size and power of Judah makes a huge difference, but since the stakes of such a fight are higher (undisputed welterweight belts on the line), maybe Gatti will take the fight. He'll get drilled in 6 or 7 IMO.
