It's funny Marquez thinks this was his only legit loss and people are still arguing that it wasn't because of the 2 lbs. I personally think Mayweather pulled a fast one coming in 2 lbs over but seriously, Marquez wasn't/isn't beating him at any weight.
Juan Manuel Marquez will beat Floyd Mayweather

Kudos for Floyd? You are too funny .... yesterday you criticized Manny "picking on" a guy from the lower weights but Floyd does it yet all you can say is "Kudos for Floyd...."
BTW .... The only reason that Floyd didn't go full throttle on Marquez is because Floyd doesn't take risks. Floyd played it safe.
I said kudos to floyd for not beating JMM up too bad. Please read more carefully next time.
He could've easily battered JMM into bloody mess.
Your just mad that manny could'nt beat him so convincingly.Comment

Lol some will say that he can make 135 if he wanted to, while other argue that he weighs in at a monstrous 170 on fight night. The polar opposite views when it comes to Mayweather crack me up.Comment

I understand why ppl were frustrated with this fight but regardless of how y'all feel...JMM has grown into the weight & still doesn't want a rematch...that should let you know what it is!!! Keep it real...what happened inside the ring was skill vs skill, not size & skill vs skill.Comment

I like how people say that what mayweather did was wrong but it wouldn't of mattered anyways, lol that there shows you what kinda b1tch this guy is. All you Floyd fans are hypocrips.Comment

this was floyd's ultimate cherrypick,,,
jmm is a great fighter,, but floyd will never lose to someone that is:
1. older
2. slower
3. smaller
4. less power
5. needs an aggressor to look good
6, counter-punches and outboxes foes
7. slower
no plausible scenario to jmm ever beating floyd,, no way in hell is a smaller, older, less powerful boxer going to beat floyd,, styles make matchups and jmm had ZERO chance of ever beating floyd,, they could fight 100 times and floyd would whitewash him 100 timesComment

Berts my dude but his thoughts on Mayweather are exactly how a lot of "fans" on here like to flip flop when the fight doesn't go as planned.
See recent figths like Mayweather vs Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, and Alvarez. A few years ago you had the Euro's hyping up Khan, we won't even go there as that was and has ALWAYS been a complete **** fight.
Like here, before the fight Floyd is supposed to be facing a real threat or as Bert suggests possibly his "toughest opponent", not a "tune up" and the fight would be a "toss up with Marquez maybe winning".
Now this is just his opinion but like a lot of Mayweather fights outside of Ortiz or even Guerrero, this has been the trend. It's funny to see people flip flop saying Floyd would never fight so and so and when he does, that so and so magically becomes a bum, is too this and too that, etc. Pure flip flopping.
But lets take into account Floyd "cheated" the weight or better said, paid a hefty amount to JMM to change the official weight of the fight. It was a pure **** show and the out-of-shape, past prime, fat, old-boy Floyd disgraced boxing by not making weight. However it doesn't change the fact that Pac, ironically wanted the very same (older) JMM at the very same weight.
Cheated weight, paid to change the weight, it's all hindsight and irrelevant now and nobody holds that victory high. Yet it's the fact that JMM KO'ed Pac at WW that reminds people of just how easy Floyd beat JMM. Nothing more, nothing less and obviously it REALLY pisses people off at just how easy the win was for Floyd.
But who cares? JMM came out and said he would never fight Floyd again. He knows no matter what the weight was, is, he wouldn't win. JMM is great fighter and losing to Floyd won't change that.Comment
