Comments Thread For: Janibek Alimkhanuly: I'm One Of The Most Avoided Fighters; Many Will Continue To Step Aside

Janibek Alimkhanuly assumes it is going to be quite difficult to get top middleweights to fight him. That's what the Kazakh southpaw experienced once he became the WBO's number one contender in the 160-pound division. Demetrius Andrade, the WBO middleweight champion, moved up to the super middleweight division for a since-postponed 168-pound interim championship clash with Wales' Zach Parker rather than accepting a mandated match against Alimkhanuly.

Watching BooBoo drop his belt and all of the top ranked fighters refuse a vacant title shot against Janibek is really telling.

Munguia offered a title shot against Janibek and he’s fighting….someone

unless you get washed by Bivol. Then you deserve props

janibek faced more world champs in his first 10 fights than Andrade has his entire career, and ppl saying Janibek doesn’t deserve a shot? Lmao. BooBoo doesn’t deserve a fan base

            Janibek is with Top Rank.

Just like Arum won't make Beterbiev vs Bivol, why should any DAZN fighter face Alimkhanuly? If that strategy is acceptable for one promoter/network then it has to be a acceptable for others too.

Andrade faces every mandatory with no pulse until now. This is his entire career blueprint, so don’t act like this is the first time he’s ducked a challenge to face a nobody for a vacant belt.

Again, Andrade is on DAZN and Janibek is with Top Rank.

Bob refuses to make a Bivol vs Beterbiev unification, using network exclusivity as an excuse. So then that applies in reverse to his fighters as well.

Okay man, Andrade is clean. He’d love all of the smoke but everyone is ducking him.

I think Janibek is collateral damage. It's more about Andrade not getting GGG/Munguia/Jermall and deciding to chase Canelo to 168 where he won't have to cut as much weight. I believe Andrade should've just fought Janibek, and technically he still can after he returns from injury.
