It was very modest, basically because of Bivol’s size.

There have been many fighters where a great bigger fighter beats a great little fighter, where you can tell that even if they were the same all around size (weight, height, reach), the outcome would have been the same.

This was not the case here. It was clear that Bivol was physically too big all around for Canelo. It’s undeniable, there is boxing footage to prove it.
lol....taking that loss really poorly man

Bivol was 183 fight night, even nelo at 168 gets close to that in weight fightnight so i dont think u can put this down to size, it helped bivol but his style did most of the damage it would seem, bivol is better than the guys at 168 who nelo fought and it showed on the night, his movement is better and he hits nelo back at many opportunites and doesnt tire

I said it before the fight. Canelo really has no business fighting at 175 lbs. Other than to try to challenge himself.

Size absolutely played a factor. And then on top of that Bivol's style is a bad matchup for him too. Not a good combination.

The Canelo F gas on this site really annoy me.

First Bivol was a bum, a small man.
Then Canelow as going to destroy Beterbiev and then Usyk.

All of a sudden, when their man, who had more weight than Bivol at the weight in, is just a small midget.

Just accept the man is a B+ fighter very well protected and stop the infatuation with this PED king.

Man these people all called Bivol a ****ing bum 6 months ago, they said he was no better than Smith/Saunders/Plant, didn't deserve a Canelo fight, was a typical euro bum with a weak body and no defense, had no business asking for canelo, was ducking zurdo, and if Bivol did fight Canelo he'd get brutally KOd by a left hook to the liver.

Funny how size wasn't an excuse with a taller and heavier Callum smith and plant.

Worst fanbase in the history of the sport.

Bivol already said he was 183.

Back when canelo was a scrawny 154lb fighter, and presumably before all the steroids he probably took and muscle he put on, he came in between 170-175.

Since then he has refused to disclose his fight night weigh.

You do the math but clearly he is way more than 180.

This Bivol was the bigger man **** is misinformation by the media and needs to end.

Considering the Reynoso camp seems to be the new go to place for shooting up as an athlete as of course he thought he would win. He no longer needs diuretics to drop weight now I imagine it’s all stamina and oxygen stuff. How boxing hasn’t unlicensed Reynoso can only be traced to Canelos influence. No other trainer or camp in boxing has had half the failures that camp has and boxing fans seem to be trying to sweep it under the f’ing rug because it’s Canelo. Nobody failed not once at a Freddie camp but we had to endure talk of ped everyday for almost 8 years. This dude pops and they continue popping and not a damn word about it!!!

Spot on. It's really pathetic how the double standard works in boxing. If you're considered the "face" of the sport and bring in huge revenue, the rules don't really apply to you. If you are the B side in a fight or you aren't already an established world title holder who sells a lot of tickets, you are subject to the penalties inherent in drug testing failure.
What's also disgusting is how many people in and outside the boxing world regularly praise Reynoso for being the best trainer of his generation when he has been proven to be someone who advocates giving his fighters unfair and unlawful advantages because he knows 9 times out of 10, they will get away with it because of the cash flow that Canelo and co. produce.

This type of occurrence in boxing is a reflection of modern society in how all men are created equal but some are more equal than others represented by how the rich and famous can avoid prosecution entirely for crimes that the average person would receive jail time for which is an absolute and utter disgrace and miscarriage of justice. The rules in life can be broken as long as you have enough money to make them disappear.

I don't think so. If this were the case, then Mike Tyson should have been one of the worst heavyweights in boxing. What matters is the skeletal frame and how much weight it can effectively handle. During one of the the GGG fights, it was revealed that Canelo's wrist circumference is 8" while Golovkin's is 7.5". Canelo is big boned, and how he made 154 is a mystery.

What about Callum Smith? Or Plant? Or Rocky Fielding? Kovalev? All of these guys are bigger than Bivol. So size doesn't matter until Canelo loses, and then all of a sudden size was the issue? What was Canelo's weight on fight night? I guarantee you it was 180 something. Maybe he weighed more than Bivol, which is why they won't release it.
