Kell was avoided after he beat Porter, hence him having to move to 160 for a big fight.
Brook's resume is bad.

I think that he beat Porter, who was one of the top guys, but also pushed Spence very close, showed he was up there. You don't give Spence a top fight, level after 8 rounds for me, and many others, if you aren't one of the best. Brook was very good, but he definitely should have fought better guys on the whole. He should have had one more fight now as well, but took the easy option of running into retirement after beating the shell of Amir Khan. Nash out.Comment

It can and it is. It's only correct in one case -- Hughie Fury. Joshua ran, Wilder ran, even Tyson Fury doesn't want the smoke of Huggy Fairy. Usyk has not mentioned his name once that I know of either, neither has Lennox Lewis stepped up. Nash out.Comment

Most fighters named Hughie are avoided like the plague.
It's an even more feared name than Chauncy
The fear is real

I don't even bother with the GGG fight. He would have smashed Jessie Vargas in unification if Hearn didn't BS with his pay. Injury-free Brook vs Spence. Took Spence pre-accident 11 rounds to stop a broken fighter. Now you see why they are trying to age Crawford out (obvious given Haymon was selling Spence to Canelo at 164 (bad decision to take Bivol vs. knock Spence out in Texas). I always thought if he came in the fight unified vs Spence would have taken a decision. We would have had undisputed Crawford vs Brook. Crawford is probably at 154 now holding the WBO. The effects of one bad decision can have so many outcomes.Brook vs "big four" world titlists:
W vs Lovemore N'dou UD 12
W vs Vyacheslav Senchenko TKO 4
W vs Shawn Porter MD 12
L vs Gennadiy Golovkin TKO 5
L vs Errol Spence Jr KO 11
L vs Terence Crawford TKO 4
W vs Amir Khan TKO 6
Senchenko was a way better win than Khan. Probably N'dou as well, though he was well past it at that point.Comment

Bad in comparison to who? All time greats, yes maybe.
But overall he has a solid good resume, and he was World Champion.
Kell Brook can also know that he did take on big challengers, such as Golovkin, Spence Junior & Crawford.
Brook also won his world title away from home, against a unbeaten Shawn Porter.
Overall a good resume, and a great career. Brook ended his career probably with his best win, his most intrinsically valued win.

According to rumors, Brook outgrew WW.
When did this happen (if it's true) ?
The milking period might have been during that phase.
After a while, the milk would have ran out.Comment

That's what these UK domestics do though. They fight all these local yokels or turn into fodder for the euros.Endless names in Brooks era - Pacquiao, Mayweather, Broner, Berto, Bradley, Thurman, Marquez, Mosley, Malignaggi, Garcia, Clottey, Ortiz, Matthyse, Alvarado, Guerro, Provodnikov, Peterson etc
Brook fought one notable guy at 147 during his prime up until the Spence fight - Porter. And that was it for him. God knows why. And sure, you can say "He fought Golovkin, Spence, Porter, and Crawford!" but that's pretty misleading.
He had a weird career.... can't help but think of it as a lot of missed opportunities because the talent was clearly there.Comment
