Haney has proved he can take a lower salary, and give up advantages. That can be seen in him being willing to go to Australia.

It's good business to obviously want the biggest payday, but some of these fighters and their managers and promoters are too greedy.

Only two fighters today have gone beyond the mainstream to an extent, Fury and Canelo. There is one fighter I believe has the potential to be as great and famous as Mayweather, and that man is Jaron Ennis.

But I digress, let the best fight the best.
I expect Haney to go to Sydney and beat the brakes of Kambosos. Kambosos wont have an answer for Haney. It WILL BE A CONVICING WIN FOR HANEY

Name the American PPV stars on DAZN. NONE

he just lost Andrade because he couldn't get him fights and now he lost Haney. Please tell me how many PPV fighters does DAZN have and compare that to the PBC list.

ELLERBE IS SIMPLY TRYING TO SCHOOL THE "NOVICES" ON HERE WHO DON'T KNOW ISH ABOUT BOXING. TELL ME HOW CAN YOU HATE ON SOMEONE WHO'S NOT DOING BIGGER THAN THEM. He's telling the truth. Hearn did f--k over billions trying to recruit top notch American fighters.

      Do your research

He needs to worry about pissing off DAZN because that's who's pockets he's been draining. If DAZN cuts ties with Matchroom they're F--ked. DAZN just renewed their contract with Golden Boy. Matchroom is on thin ice in the US whether you know it or not. They're not pissed at Hearn, they just know he don't konw what the **** he's doing. Daddy Hearn did a much much better job with Matchroom then Eddie Hearn ever has.

Ennis seems like a can't miss talent, but he also seems way too shy and introverted to become any kind of cross-over sports star. As wel all know, Floyd wasn't any kind of star until he turned villain during the ODLH 24/7 build up.

This week, we’ve had further confirmation that neither ODLH or Ellerbe have much interest in making intriguing matches for hardcore to semi-core boxing fans. Though a few of us did say this re: Ellerbe back when he said he wasn’t interested in putting Davis in with anyone hardcores wanted him to face, or anything approaching a challenge.

What can one say? They’re both committed to appealing to the casual market. Both know they’ve built or are building certain boxers as brands, and using e.g. KO highlights, even if it is against no-marks, to keep building popular fan bases.

My main bugbear is being entertained. OLDH and Ellerbe’s matchmaking plans for their respective stable don’t do much to entertain me.

But the less discerning casual consumer? They have just as much right to be entertained, and if they’re happy with what they’re watching to the extent that they’ll keep paying these dudes, then I suppose the likes of Ellerbe need not pay any attention to e.g. boxing scene or boxing pundits.

            Personally, the whole thing’s ****, but I don’t have to watch if I don’t any fights I don’t like, so I won’t.

TLDR: I hate this ****ty matchmaking, but these guys aren’t targeting us, and ppl keep buying, so whatever.

Who can Hearn possibly offer Davis to fight in Lightweight or super lightweight divisions??? ABSOLUTELY NO ONE AT ALL.

The only person he has was Haney and now he's gone. WHY because matchroom and DAZN didn't want to pay what it took to get the Kambosos fight. So Haney bounced and went with Top Rank and Dibella entertainment. Davis still likes making money and he knows where the money is at and it definitely aint with Dazn or Matchroom

PBC has the top Welterweights, and top Junior Middleweights without question. I didn't even include lightweights or SuperMiddles. WE JUST HAD A 4 BELT UNIFICATION ON SHOWTIME FOR FREE. AND IT WAS A WONDERFUL ACTION PACK FIGHT. SO I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT YOUR ASSESSMENT.

I WILL SAY GOLDEN BOY PROTECTS THEIR FIGHTERS TO THE POINT WHERE THEY WON'T LET THEM FIGHT ANYONE FROM OTHER PROMOTIONAL OUTFITS. THEY ROBBED MUNGUIA OF PAYDAY WITH CHARLO AT THE VERY LAST MINUTE. THEY WON'T LET ORTIZ FIGHT ANY OF THE TOP RANK OR PBC WELTERWEIGHTS. I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SAYING ABOUT GOLDEN BOY, BUT YOU'RE DEAD WRONG ON THE PBC. THEY HAVE MORE HGHLY RATED FIGHTERS THAN TOP RANK OR MATCHROOM OR GOLDEN BOY.

Best analogy for Matchroom USA is - think a successful regional chain. Say a restaurant or coffee shop. That expands nationally or even globally too much too fast. Think like Teavana tea shops that were common in US shopping malls. Some businesses don’t translate outside the original region it broke out of. But no need ever for this saltiness from Ellerbee

Relax man. I started the post by saying " I know it'll never happen " lol. I wasn't suggesting it would. But it'd be funny to see Ellerbe lose it. That's a PPV event right there lmao.
