I’ve never seen a prizefighter like Charlo who goes to such trouble to talk down, dismiss and throw cold water on potentially lucrative fights against opponents -Crawford, Fundora, Tszuyu, etc. - in or near his weight class. It’s clear Charlo knows the days of high-pay, relatively low- risk fights against B-tier opponents is over at 154, and rather than welcoming the challenge, he’s lashing out in a defensive, insecure manner. It says a lot about how little-regarded Charlo actually is once you strip away the boxing media hype and PBC protection. It’s telling are so many fighters clamoring to fight him - and Charlo is openly trying to avoid fighting any of them.
