There is nothing wrong with some healthy ethnic pride or cheering on your own countrymen. World Cup soccer and the Olympics are built upon that. The only time it is not healthy is when you root against someone solely because of their race. Unfortunately there are a lot of sports fans, and particularly boxing fans who do this.
