I'm not saying they don't support their fighters because they do, it's just not the extent like other hardcore nationalistic fans. I was working at the MGM when Tito fought Winky and there were a good amount of Black dudes that flew in for the fight but there were way more Ricans.

I was in Vegas for Tito-Vargas. it felt HUGE. The PR's were in. The white fight crowd was there, and vargas brought in the Cali Mexicans like crazy.


I couldn't even get a ticket to the fight. They had set up closed-circuit in Studio 54 (there used to be a S-54 on the casino level of the MGM). Tickets were $50/head and we watched it in there. The vibe was crazy! There were some Mexican dudes behind us buying us drinks and talking trash. I was a HUUGE Tito fan. When the fight was over, it was all love, and it all spilled into the MGM and onto LV blvd.


I was shocked to see the PPV be so low.

520,000 I think. It did more then Hopkins vs Trinidad which did 480,000 but 9/11 hurt that one a lot imo.
