I'm saying the comment really means nothing in boxing.

Boxers saying that is just procrastinating really.

Idk how long you've been keeping up with boxing but if it's been long, then you already know these guys say a lot but their actions don't always follow what they say.

Even fighters I like, they say the same thing. So, I take that typical boxer statement with a grain of salt.

a blatant duck is when a fighter takes less money for an easier fight
a regular duck is when an easier opponent is chosen for equal pay
smart business decision when an easier or equal opponent is taken for more money

I think anyone in a weightclass thinks about fighting the best fights of the weight class but whether or not that happens is a different story.

Look at lightweight for example. We could be seeing Lomachenko vs Davis, Ryan vs Cruz, while Haney fights Kambosos. But instead, it's Rolly and a hiatus? While Ryan ducks even his mandatory fights, so, these boxers or on a different script these days.

I hear you. I don't think Benn's team/handlers would put him in with Boots just yet. Hence why they were trying to get Broner or someone along those lines. They have a responsibility to put their guy in the best position by putting him in winnable fights and raising his profile. A fight with Boots now could derail everything.

As far as Ryan, he's far too unstable emotionally. I don't think he warrants any attention until he actually lives what he talks. Meanwhile, let the other guys who are fighting handle their business and get the attention for doing their jobs.

No, he chose a fighter he thought was very beatable because he’d had a few unmotivated performances and not that big at 175
