    My thoughts exactly.

Oquendo generally comes in decent shape. Solis, on the other hand, has been grossly overweight in his past few fights.

          Oquendo rarely comes in fat.

In fact I've seen him outside of training when he's not fighting and he's not fat then.

Solis on the other hand.... such talent. he must love american (read miami cuban) food. and some extra money certainly is dulling his desire.

Yeah but Solis/Johnson didn't just answer questions about Solis or to see where Solis was in his career, it was to see where both Kevin and Odlanier were. The fight was intrgiuing only because two young talented fringe contenders were fighting. Now it's an old past his (if he ever had one) prime Oquendo against Solis. Not nearly as many answers come from this fight and it doesn't give us what we want in regards to another front running young heavyweight.

Solis really needs to get in shape. History tells us time and time again a lean fighting frame > being a fat bastard.

I was looking forward to Johnson-Solis too. But I'm just happy we have Fres Oquendo coming in on less than one month's notice, I thought it might be someone like Jermell Barnes or Byron Polley. With Oquendo, we'll have a competitive fight that will tell us something about Solis.

it will give us more than had Barnes or Polley stepped in, but to be honest Solis and Johnson (especially Johnson since I've seen him ringside a couple times) don't really impress me too much. This fight is decent, but nothing that gets me going about the youth movement of the division. And that's all that got my attention with SOlis and Johnson.

that's not what i saw in the toney fight.
the HW division is a joke, most people pay attention to the lower division anyways.

There are some good, young up-and-coming heavyweights in Europe, such as Robert Helenius and Denis Boytsov.
