who else thought that The Contender in one night displayed more drama and excitement and character developement (as well as better fight scenes) than The Next Great Champ did all season?

I agree with you fully. The next great champ was a waste of my time. The contender not only displayed more drama, excitement, and charcter development, but they also put together a much more qualified and competitive group of fighters. I you have not seen it and are interested, I posted a some credentials and info on the fighters of the contender on the guru's thoughts on the show. Contender is way better than the next great champ. The fights are longer, the fighters are extremely better, and just the way it is directed and displayed just blows the next great champ out of the water.Comment

The good thing about the contender is that took many months combing the country for the fighters that were on their shows. When I was at the auditions I kept hearing how Delahoya had gotten wind of what the contender was doing and hurried up and rushed around to find fighters to do his show. But more importantly he hurried to get his show out first. From the fighters that I saw at the Detroit audition, I knew that The Contender would have a good line up of fighters and assumed that the auditions in all of the other states had a similar turn out of good fighters. Delahoya found most of his fighters out in California or the western part of the u.s, for the most part. The contender has fighters from all over the u.s and even foriegn fighters.
Delahoya rushed his show and it hurt its over all impact. The contender took its time and found some good quality. Did Delahoya mother never teach him that haste makes waste........ Rockin'

Otis Griffin won the next great champ. Who the **** is Otis Griffin. The Contender has Ishe Smith, Peter Manfredo, Anthony Bonsante, etc. Guys I actually knew from before the show.Comment

what ever happin to the otis griffin fighting for the championship fight, i know he won the show, but never seen the championship fight,
