Are the USA today numbers flawed?

Because I remember hearing early in the promotion that JMM was guaranteed 5 million plus PPV revenue.

This article says 2 mill, but yeah, I thought it was much higher.

The $2 million is probably his guarantee even if the fight sells 1k in PPV buys, I'm not really sure though I've read he's making $3 million at the Wall street journal.

I remember reading some article back in may when it was first signed that he was guaranteed 5 million. Makes no sense to fight for 2 million when you made about 1.5 against Diaz.

He will get paid well, Golden Boy Promotion might do some things wrong but they don't rip off their fighters.

Just about to say that, I believe that is his guaranteed money.

JMMs motivation in winning is the 3rd fight with Pac so I guess he'd take peanuts coz if he win wins he gets Pac. But its a fu**d up tho if his guaranteed price is lowered coz he deserves better than 2M..

i think $2m is the guaranteed basal figure, with him likely to earn $5m-ish when all's said and done

that was how i percieved it from the various reports
