Canelos next fight will be legacy on the line.

His loss has already seen his value plummet to hitherto unseen depths.

If Bivol takes him again, or God forbid old ass Golovkin gets the W can you IMAGINE how far his standing will sink.

Now all the casual glory hunters are no longer defending him, all his robberies are suddenly looked at with scrutiny, Canelo is suddenly a guy with 4 or 5 l's

I think this definitely changes things since before the GGG fight was just for fun, no pressure, he already won belts at 175.

But now all of the pressure is on Canelo. And GGG has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

You never know in boxing, let's be real Pac's 2005-2012 run was far more dominant than Canelo's 2014-2021 run.

For that reason I think GGG 3 or another fight where Canelo can at least be more competitive will be next instead of a Bivol rematch. No way anyone else is getting a decision win vs Canelo in the next fight, even if they beat him as clearly as Bivol just did.

Whereas it is possible that Bivol beats Canelo worse next time. And that would just be a mess potentially if the judges feel the need to slide that to Canelo.
