Clenelo was never better than GGG or Kovalev he just caught them at the right time, G was 36 and Kov was shot.

You saw what prime Bivol did with everything against him.

Kov was 36 as well... GGG was ready, but Kov sold himself out in that fight.

I read an extensive interview with Kovalev regarding the Canelo loss and it totally made sense as to why he lost.

In a nutshell, Canelo caught him at the right time.

It was strange seeing a big puncher like Kov boxing like he was afraid

How far exactly was Golovkin supposed to have been outside his prime?

Canelo vs prime GGG would've probably still gone the distance but the victory for GGG would have been by a larger margin. The Krusher that we saw against Pascal would've khtfo no doubt. That was the shell of what once was a bad man but of course there was no reasoning with his nuthuugers.

Was very jarring for sure. I think It was a mix of not getting enough recovery after Yarde fight, stress from the Court stuff, overtraining in a quick camp and not feeling he could beat Canelo in that current state. Definitely was a shell of his former self.

I personally think his last prime fight was Lemieux.
