Love how Canelo fans used to try to downplay the fact you automatically lose 4 rounds going against Canelo.
You literally have to dominate him to win or get robbed

He lost to the bigger and better man. But another plot line is the Matchroom US experience ***** up in spectacular new ways. From the moment Alvarez stood on the embarrassing Matchroom podium like a Greek God - you had a sense things could go horribly wrong. Was so laughably over the top - Canelo standing there overlong to survey his adoring subjects. And of course the Gods were displeased by the spectacle.

I have a couple of other words to describe those amphibian mofos
Beterbiev would have knocked him out at ease

Canelo and how he is treated by the boxing establishment just shows how blatant the corruption in boxing has gotten. Lads, they don’t even try to hide it when it comes to Canelo, Valdez, Reynoso etc. these fighters and that camp can actively take performance enhancing drugs and be caught dead to rights and still no one does anything. CNelo should indeed have at least two more losses on his record. Boxing establishment goes out of its way to protect popular fighters from Mexico because of the money spent by Mexican-American fans particularly on Cinco de Drinko. Fighters, promoters, matchmakers, managers, casinos, alcohol providers, stadiums/arenas, hotels, athletic commissions, sanctioning bodies, networks, boxing writers etc all count on the Canelos of boxing. All of them want the gravy train to roll on. It’s why arum was so upset at the Stevenson fight last weekend, he knew Valdez was going to lose to a superior talent and now he’s worried about drawing power. Does the boxing establishment care if they look blatantly corrupt? Of course not….who’s going to do anything about them? They are all in it together. NO ONE who makes money off Canelo wants to see him lose

He shouldn't have been a little bit shocked because that's Vegas and there's usually controversy.
Yes, they had the right winner on the night, but their scoring was certainly off by at least a point or two, if being generous.
Bivol is as cool as a cucumber. Gratitude to him and Canelo for having the fight.Last edited by Liondw; 05-08-2022, 05:15 PM.
