    Rate Alvarez Stamina

he looked tired at times last night

early on in his career he would gas here and there. could have been caused by boiling down to lower weights

Does Alvarez has suspect stamina or was it Bivol's doing that made Alv tired

If I’m not mistaken Canelo does no roadwork. You’d think by now he would’ve given it a try, it’s worked for virtually every champion before him.

In all seriousness his stamina isn’t that bad considering he throws everything full force. It seems it’s always been a pacing issue with him. No jabs or probing punches to mask his assault, it’s all hayemakers with vigor.

Bivol made him have to keep up his headmovement. Made him have to use his feet everytime he wanted to attack, and was feinting him all night, which in Andre Ward’s words “Those feints were worth 3-4 punches right there”.

Timothy Bradley complained about Pacquiao killing him the same way.

one the commentators called him a spurts fighter

Alvarez has respectable defense when he takes a break along the ropes

but isn't quite Mayweather with countering off the ropes

That’s not true. He usually puts a couple of jab in guys faces before throwing those loaded up shots.

Though he should’ve thrown some simple, sharp jabs in general, conserve stamina, break Bivol’s rhythm, assert some control.

Bivol said that canelo threw every punch hard which made him tired, problem was that not much was landing, so canelo tired out pretty quickly while bivol throws a lot of arm punches, doesnt over commit, a lot like mayweather in that regard. Plant and Saunders tried to use movement and run but canelo's accumulation of body shots slowed them down. There was no accumulation for bivol, I was surprised how well he blocked body shots with the elbows. Bivol is a step above these other guys in skill and his handspeed is great for the weight class.

canelo I dont think he has huge power what he has done is change his style as he moved up in weight, he looks to break these guys down and he got good at throwing with full power on his shots quickly and accurately, so yeah if hes putting a lot into it every shot it seems like he has huge power. When those shots land it wears down the other guy so even if canelo tires the other guy is more tired.

There is no way canelo beats him in the rematch, bivol has canelo covered from multiple angles. Canelo should go for GGG3 to rebuild his confidence and he easily beats benevidez, charlo or andrande.
