throw more! like how he fought in the 2nd GGG fight... in this fight against bivol, i dont know what canelo's game plan was? he was very stationary and was only throwing 1 punch at a time and was only throwing power punches. maybe he felt bivol's power early on and didnt wanna get caught...

Canelo finally fought a true light heavyweight. While I wouldn't count him out in a rematch, I don't think this is the weight class for him. He will continue to struggle against the very best at light heavyweight - I'm talking about those with size, skill, and power....and not someone on the decline like a Kovalev. He can try to throw more, but can he physically do so? It was easier to be more active against GGG because they are basically the same size. Canelo punched himself out against Bivol. He threw mostly power shots/hay makers. Those types of punches will tire any fighter out - especially when they are facing a bigger man. He did his best to land uppercuts, target the body, and arms of Bivol. And nothing worked. It's like Mayweather Jr fighting an in his prime Holyfield. The mismatch would physically wear down the smaller guy - as long as the bigger guy isn't getting hurt. Did anyone notice how quickly Canelo's face got blistered against Bivol? I mean his face never busted up, but it looked immediately swollen and red.

Boxing scene scored the fight 118-110 and other then the ridiculous score cards I saw nothing close about the fight. If they fight again I believe Bivol steps it up a notch or two and takes Canelo out.

Gayweather never took risks. Never fought a prime champ. Everyone was carefully picked. If he would've seen GGG walking towards him on a sidewalk, he would've crossed the street.
