Why was Bivol letting Canelo tee off on him at times?

    Especially early

Wasn’t moving his feet and would just put the earmuffs on and let Canelo throw while his back was against the ropes

    Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I was pretty concerned about that. Maybe he felt that he can take the power and did it to tire Canelo? He also did pretty good job with his high guard to block some of the incoming punches.

He wasn't scared by the power.

He went in there knowing he was going to get wet, tucked up and tanked the shots then came back stronger.

      No fear, Russian style baby.

He was shelled up and blocking all those shots. He wanted to size him up and let him tire himself out. Just the shoulder punches landed.

he was giving him respect at first to gauge his power.

later on in the fight he started countering as Canelo threw
