Most of these youtube interviewers are, the don't keep it professional at all.Comment

I agree but Sean actually has a degree in broadcast journalism, which makes it bizarre. I understand interviewers having favorites but keep it neutral and professional in your interviews at least and don't let it show.Comment

If Canelo fought or ever fights Beterbiev it would further show how much of a badass he is and how he is one of the very few boxers who are taking on real challenges that he can lose. Just like when he fought the likes of Mayweather, Bivol, Lara, GGG, Jacobs, Trout, just to name a few.
Keep criticizing one of the only handful of fighters of this era who are taking on the best fighters of every weight class he has been in.
In the future, Canelo will be praised for taking on literally every relevant fighter he could fight in his era. Except for that lame-resume-having mooch whose name rhymes with Desleepiest Yawndrade.Comment

He makes trolling headlines for Fighthype, mischaracterizing the guys he's interviewing. That's just cringe and made me avoid his stuff. For example, he was interviewing Josh Taylor, and he asked him about Crawford (pre Jack Catterall fight), and Taylor said, "I can't give a **** about other fights right now, not about the Crawford fight or any other fight, because I have to focus 100 percent on Catterall." The headline was this: "JOSH TAYLOR SAYS HE DOESN'T GIVE A **** ABOUT CRAWFORD." That's a very misleading headline and causes people to think he was talking **** about Crawford or that there's bad blood, which there absolutely isn't.
He then made one about Bivol, saying "BIVOL MOCKS CANELO FANS." Then the video was of Bivol saying "Feliz Cinco De Mayo!!!" He wasn't mocking or trolling; he was respecting the holiday.
There are just numerous instances of this type of BS and also he asks these "edgy" questions that is nothing more than trolling. Like you said, for someone with a journalism degree, it's absolute cringe.Comment

He is not fighting Beterbiev. He isn't ******. Neither is Hearn and Reynoso. If he thought Bivol was bad, Betebiev would curb stomp him.If Canelo fought or ever fights Beterbiev it would further show how much of a badass he is and how he is one of the very few boxers who are taking on real challenges that he can lose. Yeah, a former Jr MW champion won’t fight Beterbiev. Let’s crucify him. After GGG, he is going to cherrypick Dmitry Bivol again.
Meanwhile Crawford finally just got his first career-defining win vs Shawn Porter at 34 years old. Crawford isn’t ****** either. He hid behind Bob Arum when Spence, Thurman, Porter were in their prime.Comment

Few things frustrate me more in boxing than people stating “fighter y beat fighter x, ergo fighter z will beat x even harder”.
It doesn’t work like that at all. The whole point of fighter y beating x in this instance is that y had a unique skill set tailor made for beating x. Or as you hear often in boxing parlance, “he was all wrong for him”.
This is not to say that fighter z can’t ALSO beat x, and that he WOULDN’T indeed win harder. But the argument upon which this supposition resta is fundamentally flawed by virtue of the fact that fighter z brings a different set of attributes to that table; attributes that might not take fighter X out of his comfort zone.Last edited by P to the J; 05-31-2022, 04:51 PM.Comment
