Also with canelo can be very predictable, does the same thing over and over again , short burst , hooks to the arms and some uppercuts and there is no variation to his work.

He has been like that years just in love with his power and very one dimensional especially vs someone who can throw and jab and move, And fools going on like he was some ATG talent lol. He is a good boxer/puncher but really limited in areas and not ATG level.

    • Judges had Bivol only winning by 2 points (1 round), they should be made to publicly explain how they scored the fight. Are they just incompetent or have They been paid off ??

      • Saw a couple of posts on Twitter saying that Floyd didn't challenge himself by fighting at 160, 168 and 175.

Do you ever feel like casual boxing fans are dumb as rocks?

        • Canelo looked gassed, Bivol said that Canelo threw to many power punches. I picked Bivol to win , Bivol knew that Canelos strategy was the same as when he fought Smith go to the arm.

Let’s be realistic here, canelo was clearly losing the kovalev fight up until the knockout.

just as well your not paid to judge a fight lol......a blind man could see bivol was informs and canelo was behind.

Who was more skilled and more elite than Floyd? Mayweather was the most skilled of his time and Canelo is not the most skilled fighter today neither at his division, or north or south of his division. Mayweather is a five time division champion and has beaten more champions than anyone of his generation, and even took Canelo to school. Bad comparison.

                  • Great performance from Bivol he proved what boxing fans in the know already knew, that he is slick and the best at 175. Nice to see Canelo humble in defeat he just isn't big enough for the division. 115-113 is way off try 117-111.

100% and would have lost easily to Sugar ray Leonard , Roy Jones , Mike McCallum , James Toney .....footwork and speed will always be the fundamentals that separate greats from the all the time greats.

Canelo has been exposed quite a few times but has got away with it with dubious scoring.

Exactly what you said before just in love with his power and his coaches never once tried to make him be lighter on his feet and improve his movement and this is the fundamental flaw of canelo.

A fighter with good footwork and speed will always be his kryptonite and floyd showed us this when he dominated him some years back.......it’s just that canelo has not faced that kind of skilled boxer till bivol last night
