    Mayweather-Marquez will look like Jones-Tarver

no, not the 2nd one, put away the pitchforks. but the first one.

A fighter who partially relies on his speed will have lost a step due to moving down in weight and a big layoff, and the technical counter puncher will exploit it.

Mayweather may win, but it wont be an easy night.

Except for the fact that that Tarver wasn't coming up 2 weight classes.... but the point is taken... it is a possibility.. Floyd looks a little slower to me honestly.

Im expecting Floyd's speed to be on par with what he showed in the Bruseles fight, excellent hand speed.

You are missing the element that Marquez is up 2 divisions and tarver was a legit LHW!!!!

Even if Mat have lost a step in speed he will KO Marquez.

Marquez isnt big enough, hell he looked small against Juan Diaz and he got hurt several times by Casamayor and by Diaz who arent puncher.

Floyd will looked a bit rusty and slow in teh first 2 or 3 rounds, after May, gets use to fight again, he will just time JMM and tee off on him.

I hope JMM pull something out of his ass and win this but I just dont see how, because besides throwing upercuts, everythng he do Mayweather does better and is bigger!!

When has Floyd fully relied on his handspeed alone like Roy Jones did. Floyd is much more of a complete boxer than RJJ ever was. He has the fundamentals on lock down. If Floyd did lose his speed, it wouldn't matter much since he is a smart fighter.

hmmm im not so sure I agree u gotta keep in mind Jones was at Heavyweight and had to lose like 28 lbs of muscle to get back down....Floyd is only coming down to 144 lbs (3 lbs lower then usual) To compare Jones' situation that would be the equivalent of Floyd dropping back to 129 lbs (SuperFeatherweight)

Floyd is going to be better than Roy was then.
but Marquez will be a better fighter than Tarver was(even moving up in weight)

and technically, Roy was two weight classes higher than Tarver since he fought at HW...I know, I know, its not the same situation, dont go crazy, but Mayweather really hasnt been this low of weight in about 4 years.

He generally moved up a weight class once every two years since he left 130, and hey...its been 2 years since his retirement. maybe his body gained some natural weight during his layoff. might be a little bit harder than you may think to get to 144.

I dont think itll be THAT drastic, but I think there are a lot of things that could go wrong for Floyd in this fight. intangibles, I guess you could call them.

Its the way he fights. He doesnt rely on speed as much as Roy, but even his version of the shoulder roll depends on his reflexes a lot.

                    Marquez is 4 years older.

                    Slower.

                    Weaker.

                    Smaller.

                    Easy to hit.

                    Never fought Past 135.

NEVER fought anyone close to Maywetahers skill set.

Mayweather is beating the **** out of him.
