Should be announced in the next few days. HUGE signing for the Shalom. Every promoter in the UK was desperate to secure Ben’s signature.
Ben Whittaker to go pro with Boxxer, Sky.

I find it baffling. Hearn left Sky for the huge DAZN budget, but has only paid to get Yafai. Missed out on Whitaker (which he should really of signed, as he could've done big cards in Brum with the Yafai bros on it). And didn't sign Clark or the the two women. Absolute madness. -
Hearn can’t get it done without Sky’s backing. Frank had the exact same problem when he left in 2011. It’s like history repeating itself.I find it baffling. Crazy, DAZN really needs that BBC deal or some linear deal to help with the promo. My casual mates barely know when a DAZN card is happening. Shame because I want DAZN to do well. The price is fantastic, and the apps really good. Like the commentating and production team too apart from Costello, who is better for radio IMO.Comment

It’s like a Matchroom version of Boxnation but on an app rather than a channel. My casual friends are exactly the same, the majority of lads I know who bought Parker-Chisora 1 on PPV didn’t even know the rematch was happening. Boxing simply isn’t mainstream enough to be a premier product in the UK. If DAZN want to succeed over here they need to secure football rights.
