Is Canelo vs Beterbiev/Smith inevitable for May 2023?

Assuming Canelo beats Bivol, which isn’t necessarily a given, and far from a gimme fight.

With Canelo vs Bivol this Saturday for the WBA title, and Beterbiev vs Smith being a done deal for the IBF, WBO, WBC and I think The Ring title, is a big undisputed championship fight inevitable for 2023?

I think it will happen. I think Beterbiev is going to stop Smith, but I really don’t want to count Smith out. Smith is a big and powerful guy, 32 years old, and he can fight. But Beterbiev is like some type of android. He’s getting up there in age though. He’s almost 40. But he took care of Gvozdyk and Browne.

175lbs is going to be very interesting in May and June.

Too bad Canelo has that GGG obligation for September. I wish he would fight the winner of Beterbiev-Smith in September (if he beats Bivol).

Again, not overlooking Bivol. Bivol CAN win this fight. I think Canelo will win but it won’t be easy.
