Funny reading all the Cleneloterol stans bark about this and that. Too big, too small ---> shush you cucks! Cleneloterol just eats less Clenelo burgers.
Originally posted by [BTom Brown[/B]]Props to Eddy Reynoso, the ‘Manager of the Year,’ for getting Canelo these huge paydays with the least risk. He had him take the least risk for the most reward. Because he had a chance to fight a reigning world champion at 160 pounds in Charlo and he also had a chance to fight an undefeated, two-time former 168-pound champion in Benavidez. Or he could’ve fought the reigning welterweight champion. It was a $100 million deal.Comment

PBC and DAZN both made a play to become the major league of boxing in the USA. DAZN is down, but not out due to having Canelo.
Without Canelo, could DAZN generate the subs required to stay afloat in the US? I'm not sure.

So you make a bunch of assumptions that suit your bs narrative as usual..I would expect nothing less from you.
Dazn contract is for 2 fights not 3,& the Pbc deal would've been dependant on performance just like you are assuming about the Dazn deal.
And the pbc deal would've meant once again shunning his manager Hearn,& the performance of Canelo v Charlo on pbc likely wouldn't have done great numbers because Charlo is far from a draw,(not to mention had he faced tiny Spence or Benevidez, all 3 for no new belts)
(Dazn is known for paying him regardless of how well it does, thats why he sued Dazn & won,& they haven't required a performance based contract)
The PBC deal as it states on here if you read was 100 mil guaranteed regardless of sales, and then he’d get an extra cut of the Ppv just as he done before his dazn deal and did with plant. So those are facts and not based on assumptions. The only assumption I’m making is that he’d sell more Ppv’s vs the 3 options pbc offered than he did vs plant which is a very likely scenario because despite what you say, they’re all bigger names than plant. And Hearn isn’t his manager so shunning him isn’t an issue as he worked just fine with pbc for the plant fight. Aren’t you guys the same ones always saying Canelo is his own boss? Now he’s managed by Hearn? Nah, he only works with Hearn is he’s working with pbc which he was under no obligation to do.

Let’s makes this simple- the dazn deal is worth up to 160 mil for 3 fights, meaning not to exceed that amount and he may get less than that based on Ppv sales. The PBC deal was worth 100 mil guaranteed, plus a Ppv upside. Now if his fights with pbc did similar numbers to his fight with plant (they’d likely do more because all 3 options are bigger names than plant) he could get in the 160 range for just 2 fights. Not to mention that as is mentioned in this article, Canelo clearly gets more buys when fighting on the cable Ppv model than on the dazn app.
So you all can make your assumptions as to why he picked the option that he did, but don’t use the argument that it’s because dazn offered more money because that just isn’t accurate.
first off who said his DAZN deal can’t exceed 160mil lol? If he passes certain ppv buys you don’t think he will make more?
As for the 100 mil from PBC you pulled a numbe form you a$$$$ saying he could make 160mil off the two fights with ppv upside. You aren’t privy to where the PPV upside begins. He has to sell a lot to first hit that 45mil and 55mip nut before he starts getting upside.
both deals are very comparable but you just made some numbers up to push your agenda.

pbc should put up jermall charlo vs benavidez if they're willing to spend that much...otherwise just shut up with the bull****. none of the pbc fighters mentioned would go up to 175 to fight bivol so to claim that canelo took the easier path is a joke.Comment
