I think we know now who is the gwoat. Katie Taylor is the best we've ever seen in the female code.

This is exactly the issue, talent pool is not deep enough to get rivalries going etc but the top girls can fight well, i mean taylor persoon fights were wars & the serrano fight was very good, so it can be done with the right opponents and enough of them, female tennis players are paid the same as men for less sets because the fans want to see them and its an international sport with a long history, womens boxing is a niche sport and only came to the olympics 10 years ago i think

That's literally what I saw in some of the later rounds. Amanda coming forward and eating some hard punches, staggering backwards. Katie is a big dog, yo!

Many 'experts' hate to admit they were wrong.
She did grow big balls and was staggering her every time rounds 7-10. Credit to sereno to keep coming forward. But even round 10 where compubox was having serano land more, Katie rolled w most of those punches while Amanda was getting hit flush. Easy fight to score for me, Taylor clearly took 7-10.

Best of five sets clearly is more gruelling than three, no question, but it is a bit of a red herring. If you take an event like Wimbledon or the US Open, the players are paid out a pot from the revenue of the tournament as a whole. The women's game is just as much a part of Wimbledon or the US Open as the men's. You can't unpick who should get paid more from that. I think the move to equal earnings for the men and women was the right thing to do. There was something dodgy about superstars like Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Steffi Graf and Monica Seles earnings less for winning a championship than players like Pat Cash or Michael Chang.

Yes good point, the tournament is integrated for the men and women. I could be wrong but i remember hearing that some of he men actually dont want to do 5 sets anymore and want to go best of 3 like the women, its tough going playing like that every 2 days if matches go long

                Great fight for sure!
                DAZN did a great telecast.
.....But I wish it was on network television so a larger audience could have watched.

Great event, legit fight and the fight itself was a great fight with ebbs and flow.

Bob Arum has to eat his word saying that nobody cared about women's boxing.

Like watching children fight but at least it was not a fixed fight like so many of the guy fights. That alone makes it better than Fury/Whyte, Valdez/Stevenson and most Mike Tyson fights.
